a new delicious
bagel shop opens
Bagels & more is a local bagel shop in the center of Madrid, Spain that just opened in end of 2025. After bringing home some food from the shop and see a promotional flier with their then-current logo, I knew it could be improved upon greatly. The owners admitted they didn't know much about design and one of the co-owners put something together to start their business off.
I offered my services to them—free of charge—to help this new business out.

bagels & more

their original logo
The original logo, as explained in the diagram above, had a few design choices that felt complicated and disconnected from their mission and goal of being perceived as warm and welcoming. They wanted to give off the message of having phenomenal customer service and of-high quality.

design direction
for the logo
After mood-boarding and researching what other bagel shops have done, I noticed a trend of shops either having playful mascot logos or obvious bagel imagery. Where we decided to position Bagels & more was towards a badge. This in turn would communicate authenticity and approved quality. It would also feel established and trust-worthy.

authentic and dynamic
The badge logo focuses heavily on the typography—a soft, friendly serif that feels crafted and intentional. The badge is bordered by two dynamic lines—one thick and one thin. It is cut to let the letters breath and to also create distinct, separate lines flowing in a circle. This creates an energetic and refined look that resonates well with their younger demographic. A palette of cream and dark brown feel married to give off a sense of inviting, warmth, and high-quality ingredients.
Bagels & more have since adopted this logo as their new identity. Excited to improve their digital and physical presence, they have incorporated the new logo on their to-go bags, bagel packaging, shirts and sweaters, and media platforms.
